Light up your next celebration! In this interactive STEM party, geniuses will discover the contributions of inventor Lewis Latimer, whose work helped advance the light bulb and telephone and continues to impact modern life.
Through hands-on experiments and demonstrations, participants will explore the basics of circuitry and discover how electricity works. They’ll also explore our mini museum, featuring inventions and innovations from Black inventors and innovators.
It’s a celebration of science, creativity, and Black innovation designed to inspire young minds to think, experiment, and create!

Dream Big. Take Flight.
Inspired by the groundbreaking achievements of Bessie Coleman, geniuses will discover how her determination and courage helped her become a pioneering aviator and use her story to think about their own dreams and what it takes to achieve them.
Then, it’s time for takeoff! Kids will explore the science of flight through a hands-on glider challenge, making predictions, testing their ideas, experimenting with cargo, and discovering how weight impacts flight.
